Doheny House - tour

  The Doheny estate was built in 1899 for the Oliver Posey family. The famous architects Theodor Eysen and Sumner Hunt had a hand in its construction. The romantic Renaissance image is combined with elements of Gothic and Cathedral style.
  The luxurious interior reflects the wealth and status of oil industry pioneer Baron Edward Doheny, who purchased the mansion in 1901 with his wife Estella and led a fascinating life within its walls.
  The mansion preserves the era and exudes an atmosphere of wealth and luxury with all its jewels and antiques. This is highlighted by rare carpets, crystal chandeliers, porcelain vases, plaster sculptures with gold inlays, marble flooring, floors and exclusive sandalwood and rosewood furniture.
