Holidays in Malibu

  Due to its popularity with the Hollywood aristocracy since the early twentieth century, there has been intensive construction of summer palaces and villas, the most famous of which are the "Malibu Castle" and the Getty Museum-Villa. One of the most famous universities in the United States, Pepperdine University, is located in the city, the university was founded in 1937.
  Malibu separated from Los Angeles and received city status in 1991. The city of Malibu is located in a subtropical climate zone. The region is characterized by mild, moderately humid winters and warm, even hot summers. The average temperature in January is 17 C, while July and August are 27 C.
  Malibu has been the setting for countless movies and television shows. Malibu is the home of Charlie Harper, his brother and nephew from the television series Two and a Half Men. Important Planet of the Apes scenes were filmed on Mount Point Dume. In the 1990s and 2000s, MTV Beach House was filmed in Malibu. In the 1998 Coen Brothers film The Big Lebowski, the police chief describes Malibu this way: "We have a nice, quiet beach town here. And I want it to stay nice and quiet."
  Well, the world famous Malibu brought the series "Baywatch" (in Russian box office "Baywatch" (as well as "The Beach"), where the characters played by Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, Yasmin Blyth and other stars saved the hapless vacationers on the beaches of Malibu.
