Zion National Park - tour

  Zion National Park is a high plateau, a maze of narrow, deep, sandy canyons, striking mountain towers, and table mountains. Founded in 1919, the park is the oldest park in Utah and has recently become increasingly popular with national park explorers. The largest and most visited canyon in the park is Zion Canyon, where the north branch of the Virgin River has carved a spectacular gorge with walls up to 1,000 feet high. Its unique geographic location, the Colorado Plateau and the borders with the Great Basin and Mojave Desert, explains the great diversity of fauna and flora.
