From Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Lincoln Road it is every street in Miami which is the setting for an American movie about the good life: tan men on roller skates, convertibles, the whimsical architecture of Art Deco, celebrities and supermodels strolling through the summer cafes and designer boutiques, the turquoise ocean, tall palm trees and the endless blue sky.
Located east of the mainland, Miami Beach is a separate sandbar separated from the mainland by a strip of ocean water and accessed by several bridges. Miami Beach itself is divided into several areas. South Beach is a bit of a cliché because of the many TV shows and movies that have been shot there. Many visitors head to South Beach to enjoy the sun, surf, or just stroll along the sandy beach. But the striking architecture is well worth looking out for and a stroll through the Art Deco district is a great way to experience it. Colorful architectural collage of 800 buildings of all architectural styles of 1920-40 years, creates a sense of lightheartedness and spontaneity. Among these structures there are no large-scale, pompous buildings, most of the buildings were built with a minimum of money. The district, however, is built in the same style, and each building blends harmoniously into the overall ensemble.
To the north lie Mid Beach and North Beach. Each of these areas has several beaches, the total length of about 40 km.
