Huntington Library (Pasadena) -tour

  The Huntington is about 19 kilometers northeast of downtown Los Angeles and is part of a single cultural complex founded in 1919 by railroad magnate Henry Edward Huntington. Surrounded by beautiful gardens spanning 50 acres, it is home to 3 art galleries and a library with magnificent sculptures, paintings, manuscripts and rare books.
  The Huntington Library contains a collection of British and French art from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
  The Huntington Botanical Garden has more than 14,000 varieties of plants. It consists of a dozen themed areas, including a rose garden, Shakespeare garden, Australian garden, subtropical, palm garden, camellia collection, greenhouse, and a stunning Japanese garden with goldfish ponds, picturesque bridges, marvelous lawns, and a huge collection of dwarf trees. The Botanical Garden has an educational center.
