Berry's largest island (9 km long and 4 km wide) is Great Harbour Cay where you'll find the Bullock´s Harbour islands' largest settlement. Also not to be missed is the opportunity to visit Sugar Beach Caves, located among the high cliffs, which, according to many, is one of the most beautiful places in the Bahamas.
The Berry Islands are a great place for avid fishermen, as they are home to species such as sailfish, blue marlin and giant bluefin tuna. The southern part is famous for the Chub reef, which offers a beautiful view of the oceanic trench, called the "Tongue of the Ocean", which is home to a large number of garfish.
Divers can go to the narrow coral reef Mamma Rhoda Rock, which is only 5 meters deep and is home to crayfish and moray eels, or the reef Hoffman, a narrow canyon, where the only inhabitants are oysters.
But no impression of the island would be complete without a visit to Great Harbour Cay, with its lighthouse, built in 1863, and Sand Dollar Cay, famous for collecting shells.
